Aalborg Carnival works together with carnivals
from Hamburg "Altonale Spaßparade" and "Luton International Canival"
(London) on developing mobile carnival art in Europe. The
project is funded with support from the EU Culture Programme
2007-2013. The project aims at engaging more
people in the annual carnivals in Aalborg, Hamburg and Luton. In
focus is high quality mobile street art - "public art". Costume art, theatre de rue, music, dance, costume design and stilt art.
The project will take place 2010-2012, and it was
opened by a workshop in Hamburg in October 2009, where the participants
were international respected costume designers, mask artists, choreographers and
others from the tree diffenrent countries.
