Aalborg Carnival takes part in two projects funded with support from the EU Culture Programe 2007-2013.European Spectacles - Street Art Development Project takes place in cooperation with Altonale Spaßparade (Hamburg) and Luton Carnival (London). It runs 1010-2012. Freedom is a cooporation between Aalborg Carnival and Carnivals from London and Paris. It runs 2007-2009.

Aalborg Carnival is the largest carnival in Northern Europe with up to 25,000 carnivalists in the Grand Parade and more than 100,000 spectators catching the magnificent wave of colours and fantasy along the parade route. Paint your face - dance the street What distinguishes Aalborg Carnival from most other carnivals is that everyone can participate in the Grand Parade! So it is your choice whether you enjoy the celebration as spectator or as participant.
Events, stories and wonderful games in Kildeparken.
The Carnival celebration in Kildeparken will this year have many great events that just makes this festival even more spectacular! You can get married in the Speed Wedding-tent with that special someone or your inflatables. There is karaoke in the park too. Look for the Kys, kærlighed og karaoke- plate, grab the microphone and release your inner Elvis Presley. The AIDS Foundation is responsible for this penalty, also it is their employees who walk around the park and offers tattoos, however washable. You can choose between a nice lady or a hot man, and in fact support a good cause. As something new this year there will be two new drinks bar who servers premixed cold drinks as Mojito, Cosmopolitan and Pina Colada, so dress up like Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda or Samantha and let Kildeparken become Sex and The City. With a drink in hand and a tattoo on your arm, you can roll over and hear the cool music, which adds the last extravagant spice that makes the Carnival celebration the most sensual and perfect celebration of the year.

Nabiha loves the carnival!
And Carnival love Nabiha. Despite the rain the crowd partied to Nabihas cool pop music, which Nabiha thought was wildly cool. The colorful singer had dressed for the occasion because she would participate in the festivities. Listen to Nabiha
Ida Corr and the cones!
To get into the carnival mood Ida Corr invited three participants dressed as cones up on stage. It was obvious that everyone was amused by it. Listen to Ida Corr
Carnival raised the roof!
The Danish rap duo Ufo Yepha looked forward to performing for the costumed participants, when we chatted with them before their appearance, but they did not know if the carnival participants were still ready to party ......
